These terms govern your use of DAM Cowboy (www.damcowboy.com), an independent publication and toolkit owned and operated by Stacks LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company.

Using the site

You may read everything on this site, share links to articles, forward newsletter issues to colleagues, and quote our content with attribution. You may not scrape the site at scale, republish full articles without permission, or use our content to train models without first asking. AI crawlers we have explicitly allowed (listed in robots.txt) are welcome.

The Roundup newsletter

The Roundup is free. We send it on Fridays. Every issue contains a one-click unsubscribe link. We will never spam you and we will never sell your email to anyone. See thePrivacy Policy for the full picture.

Directories

The Platforms, Professional Services, and Consultants directories list third parties. We curate the listings and verify what we can, but we do not control these vendors. Information is provided as-is. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, or that any listed vendor will return your call.

Listings are organized by editorial judgment and structural match, not by paid placement. Sponsorship, when it exists, is labeled plainly and does not influence directory rank.

Tools

DAM Cowboy publishes working tools (Metadata Quality Score and others as they ship). Each tool has its own terms inside the tool itself. The short version: tools are provided as-is, you own your data, we do not sell or share your tool data with anyone.

External links

We link to other sites frequently (every Roundup story names its source). We do not control linked sites and we are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Click through with normal caution.

Content rights

DAM Cowboy editorial content (articles, Roundup issues, glossary entries, original photography) is copyright Stacks LLC, published under a permissive license: you may quote up to 200 words with attribution and a link back. Reproduction of full pieces requires permission.

Third-party content we link to or quote remains the property of its original publisher. We attribute every source and link out where possible.
