AI disclosure on social media remains a work in progress

IPTC reports on an Indicator study tracking how social platforms label generative AI content. The February update shows incremental progress: some platforms now flag AI-generated posts, but implementation varies widely and enforcement remains inconsistent. The study update confirms what metadata practitioners already know: voluntary disclosure fails without platform-level verification and embedded metadata standards.
