WIPO launches AI Infrastructure Initiative with C2PA focus
DAM Cowboy · W37 · September 2026
Bruce MacCormack joined a Geneva panel launching WIPO's Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Initiative (AIII). The initiative connects intellectual property frameworks to content provenance standards, including C2PA implementation. MacCormack's work with CBC/Radio-Canada on C2PA adoption positions him at the intersection of rights management and media authentication. WIPO's involvement signals that provenance standards are moving from technical specification to policy infrastructure.
