Trust, story objects, and agentic production at IBC 2026
DAM Cowboy · W38 · September 2026
IPTC brought three metadata threads to Amsterdam's International Broadcasting Convention: C2PA provenance for news video, story objects that bundle content with rights and context, and production workflows where agents assemble packages. The convergence matters because broadcast DAM has always been about speed and verification. When agents start cutting packages, the metadata layer becomes the only reliability surface. IPTC's focus on trust standards signals that broadcasters see this risk ahead of the rest of the industry.
